Russia - Alexey Kortnev shared his memories of the Kino group

Russia (bbabo.net), - - No drums were brought for the "Kino" concert in the hostel of Moscow State University - and Ryba played on leatherette chairs. And when you needed a blow on a big drum-barrel, he just stomped loudly. But the concert still came out great...

Aleksey Kortnev, the leader of the "Accident" group, visited a variety of concerts of Viktor Tsoi in the 80s, including apartment concerts, and began to truly appreciate him after the death of the musician. And he walked along the exhibition "Viktor Tsoi. The Hero's Path" that opened in the Manege - together with other spectators, looking at unknown photographs of Tsoi, reading drafts and business notes, evaluating the graphics and paintings of the musician on oilcloths and canvases ...

Those same chairs are not at the exhibition - but here, for example, a can of Campbell's soup with Andy Warhol's dedication, in the Music Library hall you can listen to your favorite Kino songs, recall the film "Needle" from photographs from the shooting.

But first, Kortnev and I went into the boiler room - very similar to the one in which Tsoi worked in three days ...

Installation "Kamchatka"

A furnace, a damper, a shovel in a heap of coal - very familiar. Well, the song in the hall, of course, is "Kamchatka" ... My bandmates did not work in the stokers, but saxophonist Pasha Mordyukov guarded something for a whole year at the construction of the Victory Memorial on Kutuzovsky, then rehearsed in his gatehouse "Accident".

Back to news Here on the same cassettes, here huge, decorative, I first heard the album "46" and soon knew it by heart. In "46" there is a song "Trolleybus", which divided my life into before and after: "There is no driver in the cab, but the trolleybus is moving, And the engine is rusty, but we are going forward..."

Tsoi's Guitars

Oh, the concert "Washburn"! But "Alvarez" - yes, with inlay ... In small halls, Vitya played acoustics - then the simplest - quite qualified for a rhythm guitarist, he kept the pace well. And the stadiums already had, of course, “Washburn”.

Hall "Planetarium"

And this ball, "Star named Sun" over all space! The producer of "Kino" Yuri Aizenshpis did a lot to make Victor feel like a star, but he himself was a person of that level. After all, Tsoi does not have vulgar texts, there are simpler, more complicated ones, but there is never a violation of taste. I believe that he is first and foremost a poet, and a fantastic one at that - by falling into the spirit of the times. And around the Star in the hall are her comrades, planets with screens, and there are Grebenshchikov, Mike Naumenko, Joanna Stingray ...

Statue of Moro from "The Needle"

Moro, the hero of Tsoi, is here on his knees - he was stabbed with a knife, but he is about to get up. In the film, he got up, walked, and even blood did not drip from him. Part of the audience believed that it was Moreau's soul leaving the body, while others said no! Moro survived! There were almost no fights.

Style

Tsoi's costumes

At the exhibition, they are presented in the "Style" hall.

The rebellious spirit of Tsoi manifested itself in appearance and made him an icon of style. And his style always followed Tsoi's musical tastes. At first, Victor was fond of the music of The Beatles and David Bowie and appeared on stage in the early 80s in a blouse with a jabot, red suits and shiny boots and kid gloves (in the St. Romantics in kid gloves").

The famous bomber jacket, Tsoi's uniform at concerts of recent years, he brought to the look he needed with his own hands - he repainted the zipper, sewed on rhinestones ... Fascinated by the aesthetics of protest, Viktor tried to remain elegant, combine masculinity with irony, fight against dullness and combine harmony with audacity .

The famous coat hung in the window, which Tsoi throws off when entering the stage in the finale of "Assy", shows that Tsoi's aesthetics remain relevant: the coat still looks very stylish.
