Russia - What bridges are built by Elizabeth from Belarus, Elena from Russia and Tatiana from Ukraine

Russia (bbabo.net), - A unique exhibition for today's hostile times has opened at the Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Industry in St. Petersburg. These are the works of 12 young graphic artists under the general name "Bridges". The project is symbolic and humanitarian, like everything that is done within the framework of the "Minsk Initiative", the seventh conference of which opened in the cultural capital, bringing together 30 participants from Ukraine, 20 from Belarus and the same number from Russia.

Elizaveta Pastushenko from Belarus, Elena Prudnikova from Russia and Tatyana Ocheredko from Ukraine paint a world where there is no confrontation, disrespect, fences and dirty puddles. Art has no boundaries, there are only different national academies and schools. For example, the graphics of Ukraine are distinguished by their emotionality and a mix of different techniques, the Belarusians - by refined sophistication, and the St. Petersburg school demonstrates interesting symbolism and imagery.

Dmitry Budkov, executive director of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, hopes that the vernissage of "Bridges" with its amazing imagery of all-consuming friendly ties will be seen by other CIS countries, and primarily in Ukraine and Belarus.

"This exhibition, already the third in a row in the Minsk Initiative project, is special. Because its name symbolizes what we do," said Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Relations, Co-Chair of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the participating States, opening the exhibition. CIS Mikhail Shvydkoy - It is clear that we are talking about spiritual and material ties. Bridges are what is so important in relations between our three peoples. new things they bring to today's life."

By the way, the first exhibition of Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian artists, who painted the "three Sophias", as an expression of the very close and deep ties of the three peoples - Sophia of Kiev, Sophia of Novgorod and Sophia of Polotsk, had the same symbolism.

This relationship is being developed anew both in the visual arts and in literary creativity (at the opening of the "Minsk Initiative" they presented another joint almanac in three languages "Terra poetika!", A meeting of the studio of poetic translation from the language into the language of three peoples is next). to collect and a joint musical project."Our meetings should end with a big jam session: jazz, classical, folk. Let's arrange something completely groovy," the special representative of the president promised.

The opening of the exhibition ended with the presentation of a film about the "Bridges" project and acquaintance with its participants.

Direct speech

Tatiana Ocheredko, Ukraine:

- I connect people and countries with bridges, but they collapse very easily. And despite all the ups and downs that are happening around us, art remains - a bridge that will definitely unite us. Art is an additional language. Anyone can understand what is drawn. So art is a language that unites the world. This is our artistic message: do not look at the situation, do not destroy bridges. History will change, but human values will remain forever.

Elizaveta Pastushenko, Belarus:

- We are on different shores, but we have connecting threads: history, religion, culture. St. Petersburg is a city of bridges. Russia - St. Isaac's Cathedral. But behind it, you can also see pieces of the land of Belarus and Ukraine. My work is called "Bridges of the earth and heaven." And the second one is in my foreground. Because all three countries have a connection with a single heavenly fatherland - through churches and a common Orthodox faith.

Elena Prudnikova, Russia:

- We had a task to do something uniting our countries. It could be cultural or other connections. I chose relatives - my relatives live both in Ukraine and in Belarus. The work is called "Family Relations". This is a forest stretching its branches into the sky, and somewhere in the height it connects its arms-branches. And this applies not only to our three countries, all people could unite in this way. Moreover, the roots of our trees are fed from the same source - the earth.
