Russia - Three Russian artists will decorate the pavilion of the Bologna Book Fair

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Bologna Fair for Children's Literature has announced the names of the winners of the 56th Exhibition of Illustrators. Among the 78 finalists are three Russian artists Elena Bulai, Katya Klimova and Maria Nesterenko. Following a half-century tradition, their work will grace the main pavilion during the Bologna Fair from 21 to 24 March, after which the winning artists will embark on a two-year international tour.

According to the organizers of the Exhibition of Illustrators, this year they received works from 3873 applicants from 92 countries of the world. The shortlist included 318 artists. Among them, an international jury selected 78 winners from 29 countries. Their work is like an encyclopedia of modern trends in children's illustration. Russia in this honorary list is represented by three illustrators at once: Katya Klimova, Maria Nesterenko and Elena Bulai, for whom this is already the second victory. Elena has already become a winning illustrator at the Bologna Fair in 2021. Such talented constancy cannot but rejoice.

Winning this competition brings not only moral satisfaction, but also international recognition. The names of the winners of the Exhibition of Illustrators will be published in a large catalog of the fair, which will be received by publishers and book professionals around the world. The winning entries will also be featured at the Bologna Book Fair, followed by a two-year international tour.
