Valeria stood up for Kamila Valieva after the scandal at the Beijing Games

Singer Valeria called "outrageous" the scandal surrounding the doping test of the Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. In a conversation with REN-TV, the artist recalled that the athlete is a minor, so all issues should be resolved with the people responsible for her.

“What is happening today with Kamila Valieva is simply outrageous. This is the greatest athlete, you can already call her that. She started in the most incredible way at this Olympics - she is still a child, she is 15 years old, she is a minor, and adults are responsible for her, ”said Valeria.

The singer is convinced that not a single doping could add Valieva's talent. The artist also called the skater a beautiful, bright and incredibly charismatic athlete.

Valieva was given a temporary suspension, which she challenged with the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA), and the restrictions were lifted. The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the International Skating Union (ISU) filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), but it was rejected.

Valieva at the Games in Beijing became the Olympic champion in the team tournament. The figure skater will also be able to take part in the Olympic women's singles competition. The short program will take place tomorrow, February 15th. Russia will also be represented by Anna Shcherbakova and Alexandra Trusova.

Earlier, Olga Buzova supported Valieva after the scandal at the Olympics.
