Actress Zinaida Kiriyenko was buried at the Troyekurovsky cemetery

People's Artist of the RSFSR Zinaida Kiriyenko was buried at the Troyekurovsky cemetery in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Valery Gushchin, director of the Cinema Actors Guild of the Central House of Cinematographers.

The funeral took place after the farewell ceremony, held in the Great Hall of the House of Cinema. Kiriyenko's sons Maksim and Timur, her grandchildren, as well as colleagues Lyudmila Zaitseva, Aristarkh Livanov, and Nikolai Burlyaev came to say goodbye to Kiriyenko.

On the last journey, the actress was given a standing ovation.

Zinaida Kiriyenko died on February 12 at the age of 88. Before her death, she was in the intensive care unit after suffering a coronavirus and a stroke. In addition, the actress battled pancreatic cancer.

The actress is known to the viewer for the films “The Fate of a Man” by Sergei Bondarchuk, “Quiet Flows the Don” by Sergei Gerasimov, “Earthly Love” by Evgeny Matveev, “Two Captains” by Evgeny Karelov. A week ago, the actress was elected to the new Secretariat of the Union of Cinematographers as a representative of the Council of Elders.
