The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has reduced the period of undesirability of the stay of comedian Idrak Mirzalizade from life to 14 years, TASS reports.

This was told by the lawyer of the artist Sergey Badamshin. “In pursuance of the decision of the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reduced the period of undesirability of the stay of comedian Idrak Mirzalizade from life to 14 years. In fact, Mirzalizade’s stay (residence) in the Russian Federation is recognized as undesirable until August 27, 2035,” the lawyer specified.

Mirzalizade will appeal the decision.

In August, Mirzalizade received 10 days of arrest for "inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliating human dignity." The reason for initiating the case was his joke about Russian tenants. The Ministry of Internal Affairs decided on the undesirability of the comedian's stay in Russia for life.

Earlier, Mirzalizade sold an invalid residence permit in Russia during a speech.
