Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic presented Hollywood actor Johnny Depp with a gold medal. This is an award for outstanding achievements in social and cultural activities, especially in the field of cinema and the promotion of the republic on the world stage, reports Balkan Insight.
Johnny Depp came to the ceremony in person and received a medal from Vucic. During the ceremony, the actor said he was proud to receive the medal.
“I really sincerely thank you, President Vucic, and this medal of merit, if I have the honor to walk away with it. I thank you for being so kind as to give it to me, ”Depp made such a speech during the presentation.
The actor has participated in several Serbian-related film projects, including filming scenes in Belgrade for the Great, as well as the Serbian animated series Dead Ends.
The fact that Johnny Depp will be awarded the gold medal for services to Serbia, it became known on February 12.
As part of his visit to Belgrade, the actor was received by President Aleksandar Vucic. Depp presented the head of state with a plush toy in the form of a puffin bird.
Johnny Depp's next film role is the role of King Louis XV of France in a new film directed by Maiwenn le Besco. Filming will start in summer 2022. The film will be filmed in different locations in Paris, mainly at the Palace of Versailles. The film's title and plot are being kept under wraps.
