Russia - The Cinema Fund published a list of film production leaders and announced the acceptance of applications for support

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Film Foundation has released two pieces of news. First, ten leading companies in domestic film production in 2022 have been identified. The list has not changed compared to last year, although the number of film production companies in our country is growing.

The leaders of Russian film production are the STV Film Company, WBD Group, Nikita Mikhalkov's Trite Studio, 1-2-3 Production, Central Partnership, Art Pictures Studio, Mars Media Entertainment, Bazelevs", "Hydrogen 2011" and "Cinema Directorate".

How are leaders determined? The key selection criterion is the audience rating of the films (the number of audience visits to the films of film companies in Russian cinemas over the past five years). Only an organization that has existed for at least three years, has released more than two original films in the past five years and has no debts to the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Fund can become the leader of domestic film production.

The second piece of news is that the acceptance of applications for supporting the production of feature films has been announced, as well as the deadlines for submitting documents. For leading companies - from February 22, 2022 to March 25, 2022 (inclusive). For other cinematography organizations - from February 22, 2022 to March 28, 2022 (inclusive). Subsidies in both cases are issued on a non-refundable basis.

Also, any cinematography organization can apply for support from the Cinema Fund on a 100% return basis. Document submission dates are also from February 22, 2022 to March 28, 2022 (inclusive). The list of documents and relevant orders can be viewed on the website of the Cinema Fund. It is worth paying attention to the fact that we are not talking about animation - the selection to support animated national films will be announced separately.
