“Donation” by Akhedzhakova to the Ukrainian army turned out to be a fake

The information that actress Liya Akhedzhakova allegedly donated $10,000 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine turned out to be fake. It is reported by Channel Five.

The post, allegedly written on behalf of Akhedzhakova, was previously published on Instagram, later there was a message that the artist wants to leave the territory of Russia. The information was disseminated by the Ukrainian media.

Later it turned out that the 83-year-old actress has no social media accounts. A refutation of the information was made at the Sovremennik Theater, in which Akhedzhakova has been working for almost half a century.

“In this regard, we hasten to refute the information published today on the Instagram network on behalf of Leah Akhedzhakova. The account is a fake created by an anonymous user,” the institution said on the VKontakte social network.

“I can tell you one thing, I can’t imagine how money can be transferred to the army, I can’t even imagine how this can be done,” Akhedzhakova said in a comment to the publication.

Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, said at a meeting of the Security Council that an information war against Russia was launched on social networks.

According to him, training manuals on how to remove fakes discrediting the Russian military operation are posted on social networks. Nebenzya noted that in total 1.2 million such false messages were posted on social networks. He also stated that statements about Russia's allegedly indiscriminate use of force in Ukraine, attacks on kindergartens and hospitals are lies and fakes.

In the same speech, the permanent representative said that the crisis in Ukraine began due to ignoring the crimes of neo-Nazis in the Donbass.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation to protect the Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR.

Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a bill on general mobilization to the Verkhovna Rada.
