Little Caruso dies in Britain

At the age of 54, Spanish baritone, opera and pop singer Carlos Marin, also known as a member of the Il Divo group, has died. This was reported on the team's Twitter.

It is noted that the information is posted on behalf of three other members of the ensemble, Urs Bühler, Sebastien Isambard and David Miller. They noted that they had worked together for 17 years, calling the collaboration "an incredible journey", and also stressed that they would miss Marina.

“It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that our friend and partner Carlos Marin has passed away ... There will never be another person with a voice and spirit like Carlos,” the post says.

The cause of death of the performer was not specified. According to The Sun, the performer died of coronavirus in British Manchester. In December, he contracted COVID-19 and was placed in an artificial coma.

Il Divo is an international quartet of opera singers educated at the Conservatory. In 2006, the group entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful international pop project.

Carlos Marin began his singing career at the age of eight when his first album, Little Caruso, was released. Subsequently, in the Netherlands, Marina began to be called that way. The singer studied with Alfredo Kraus and Montserrat Caballe and performed successfully on the opera stage.
