Baldwin has denied claims that he does not comply with the requirements of the investigation

Actor Alec Baldwin posted a video on Instagram in which he denied claims that he allegedly did not comply with the requirements of the investigation into the shooting on the set of the movie "Rust" in October 2021.

“Any suggestion that I do not comply with requests, orders, requirements of the investigation or a search warrant is bullshit,” the actor said.

He explained that the investigation is “a process,” and law enforcement officers must make a request to the state where he lives in order to gain access to his phone data.

“They can't just go into your phone and take your photos, or love letters to your wife, or whatever you have,” Baldwin explained.

The actor stressed that he is ready to fully comply with the requirements of the investigation. According to him, the best way to honor the memory of cameraman Galina Hutchins, who died on the set, is to find out the whole truth about what happened.

Earlier, he called Hutchins' death the worst thing that happened to him in his life, and expressed hope for a thorough investigation. Baldwin also stated that "no one wants the truth more than he does."

On October 21, it became known that on the set of the film "Rust" Alec Baldwin fired from a props pistol, which was loaded with live, not blank cartridges. They hit two crew members: 42-year-old director of photography Galina Hutchins and 48-year-old film director Joel Sousa. Doctors were unable to save the operator. Souza was subsequently discharged from the hospital.
