Russia - Denis Matsuev will perform at a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet Levitansky

The author of the poems "Cinematography", "Everyone chooses for himself", "Dialogue at the New Year's tree" was born on January 22, 1922. The renowned musicians are preparing a special musical program for the 100th anniversary of the poet.

They will perform works by composers revered by Levitansky. The overture to the opera "Idomeneo" by Mozart, Haydn's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in C major, and Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto will be performed. The music will be supplemented by recordings of the poet's performances.

Poems by Yuri Levitansky will be performed by the author and will allow listeners to tune in to a special poetic wave, they expect in the conservatory.

Yuri Levitansky (1922-1996) - poet and translator, master of lyric and parody genres. You may not immediately remember his last name, but you know his poems for sure and have heard many, many times: "What is happening in the world? - It's just winter. - Just winter, you suppose? - I suppose ...". In 1995, he was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation for the collection of poems "Earthly Sky", "Memories of Red Snow" and "White Poems".
