The main goal of the audience - and these are 31 theaters from different republics and regions of Russia - was the signing of a Memorandum defining the basic principles of the new institution.

The creation of the Association was initiated by the first national theater of Russia - the National Drama Theater of Russia (Alexandrinsky Theater).

"The creation of the Association of National Theaters is a major task not only for the Russian theater community, but for our entire society. The multinational situation of our country is unique. Now there are 31 theaters participating in the Association's project, and there are many more of them in Russia. The question of the Association is a state issue, speech is about the preservation and development of national culture and language. The artistic director of Alexandrinki was unanimously elected chairman of the council of the new Association. The council also includes the director of the National Theater of Karelia Irina Shumskaya, director of the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater named after I. Mazhita Gafuri Irshat Fayzullin, artistic director of the Buryat Academic Drama Theater named after Khotsa Namsaraeva Sayan Zhambalov, artistic director of the Sakha Academic Theater named after P. A. Oyunsky Andrey Borisov, chief director of the Tatar Academic Theater named after Galiaskara Kamala Farid Bikchantaev, artistic director of the Chechen State Drama Theater named after Hero of the Soviet Union Khanpashi Nuradilov Khava Akhmadova and director of the Pskov Academic Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin Dmitry Meskhiev.

The first joint plans were also announced - to hold summer schools in St. Petersburg and Kazan. On the basis of the Small Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, it is planned to create refresher courses for technical workers of the stage. And in Kazan, literary managers and producers are expected for the summer educational program.
