“In Russia, everything is done against football”: what artists think about the introduction of Fan ID

Singer Sergei Shnurov released the clip "Pa-sport", in which he ridiculed the introduction of Fan ID in Russia. In a conversation with musician Vladimir Presnyakov Sr. supported criticism of the introduction of a fan ID, actor Valery Barinov called this measure idiocy, and trainer Edgard Zapashny expressed the opinion that after a while even dissatisfied Fan ID fans would return to the stands.

Vladimir Presnyakov Sr.

— At modern stadiums, it is possible to achieve order even without Fan ID. Fans must be reckoned with, and not a strong-willed decision to introduce this passport. I am entirely on the side of fan associations.

This measure is reminiscent of some kind of another census, which is why the fans reacted that way. You have to understand that now is not the 90s, when fans jumped from podium to podium, started fights. Now the stadiums are normal - and even fun. Sometimes there are very witty banners. I like our fans, they showed themselves amazingly at the 2018 World Cup. The fans are the people. Most of it is in love with football. It is now possible for families with children to go to stadiums: the fans do not interfere.

It is correct that some artists support the criticism of Fan ID. After all, we have a lot in common with the players. For example, I just came from a training session at the Myagkov Stadium. There, professional ex-football players play with us - both Valery Shmarov and Yuri Gavrilov. Artists and football players have always had a friendship.

Lev Leshchenko

— I think Fan ID will alienate many fans. Our stadiums are empty even without it. Maybe the pandemic gave rise to such a measure, but it seems to me that this is not for the good of football. At the same time, I do not support boycott of fans.

Yuri Loza

— As an old fan, I can say that this is superfluous. We have ordinary passports, ticket sales can be done through a computer. Say, when a traffic cop stops you on the road, he punches the driver through his gadget. If you install similar computers in ticket sales points, with a program that shows all the information about violations, it will be the same system. You show the ticket seller your passport. He punches you and gives - or does not give - a ticket, having understood who you are. For any trick a person can be added to this database. He comes to buy a ticket, and to him: “What the hell, brother.”

It seems to me that the introduction of passports is an extra headache. You just need to enter the details of the violators - and check when selling tickets. Personally, knowing that you need to get a Fan ID, I may not go to the stadium. Just to avoid unnecessary red tape.

Valery Barinov

— I don't even want to discuss this idiocy. We already have 15-20% occupancy at the stadiums, and with Fan ID there will be no one at all. Everything is done against football in Russia. Our teams are leaving, stadiums are disappearing. My favorite team, Lokomotiv, is probably put on stream - soon the stadium will be dismantled there, and we will go to Luzhniki for 45 years. This cannot be a serious decision in a country that cannot be considered football.

Edgard Zapashny

— I am not a supporter of our life being completely controlled, being under the magnifying glass of certain people. I like to watch old films about football - or new ones from that time. For example, "Streltsov", "Lev Yashin. The goalkeeper of my dreams. They show that earlier two policemen stood out at the crowded stadium, who stood at the entrance and watched the football themselves. But our lives have changed. People have become more aggressive - and the form of "sickness" is now completely different. We have radical fans in many sports.

Fan ID is what all world football will eventually come to. To be honest, the impetus for this was the World Cup, which we also held. There was a Fan ID. Whether you are satisfied or not, then you obeyed this rule. I do not like this idea, but I understand that we are talking about an already decided fact. Fan ID will be. I consider it a useless waste of time and nerves to oppose him, to call people to the barricades.

At first, the stands will be empty, there will be a certain decline. Then the people who love football and live football will return. People won't be able to boycott football for long, because football is love.
