Russia (bbabo.net), - The increase in pensions of non-working pensioners after indexation by 8.6% will average 1,400 rubles. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Elena Bibikova.

“If we said that indexation of 5.9% is an average of 1,000 rubles of increase, [with indexation of 8.6%] it [increase] will be higher, of course, somewhere around 1,400 rubles,” leads her TASS calculations.

Bibikova also noted that, in her opinion, “indexation should be from January 1, 2022,” since “by law, pensions should be indexed from January 1.”

The senator added that the Federation Council is waiting for a corresponding proposal from the government.

At the moment, the insurance pensions of non-working pensioners have been indexed from January 1, 2022 by 5.9%. On average, their size is now 18,521 rubles. The increase affected 30.78 million people.
