Russia - The Ministry of Transport assessed the risk of a new logistics crisis in the Far East

Russia (bbabo.net), - In 2022, a recurrence of the logistics crisis in the ports in the Far East is excluded, since cargo delivery planning has been introduced. Deputy Minister of Transport Alexander Poshivai spoke about this in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

"This will not happen. Residents of the Far Eastern regions, and other regions of the country will receive goods and cargo on time," the official said.

As the Deputy Minister explained, in December 2021, planning for each port of a certain amount of cargo was introduced at the request of the subjects. Until the 20th day of each month, subjects provide information on the amount of cargo they want to receive in the next month. This timetable is consistent with shipping companies and ports.

At the same time, priority cargoes are allocated. These are socially significant cargoes, cargoes for national projects and large investment projects. Upon arrival, they are immediately sent to the ports of destination.
