That is why today programs are being formed and launched to involve young people in the labor market, Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, explained, speaking at the Gaidar Forum at the session "Social Development Strategy: Medium-Term Priorities."

He recalled that this year a program was launched that includes activities for early career guidance for schoolchildren, acquiring the first practical skills, encouraging work and entrepreneurship during the study period, as well as reducing youth unemployment. In addition, testing of the system for transferring work practice to electronic form will begin. This will make it easier for students to find a company where they can apply their knowledge and "hone" their skills.

According to the minister, when developing programs to support youth employment, the shift in the average age of having children for women is also taken into account - from 27 to 29 years. In addition, in order to remain in demand in the labor market, women with children of preschool age can undergo retraining free of charge. Russians under 35 years of age who, after completing their studies or military service for more than four months, could not find a job, young people without professional or higher education or at risk can also acquire new knowledge and skills at the expense of the federal budget within the framework of the federal project "Employment Assistance dismissals, students of the last courses of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions, if there is no suitable job for them in the specialty they have received, and citizens over 50 years old.
