Russia (bbabo.net), - The volume of foreign trade of the EAEU countries in 2021 will reach $800 billion. At the same time, 70 billion dollars will be spent on trade between the countries of the union. Alexei Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, spoke about this within the framework of the Gaidar Forum.

"We expect GDP growth in the EAEU at the end of 2021 at the level of 4%. This is 1% more than in 2019. There has been an increase in foreign trade - about 800 billion dollars will be in 2021. Moreover, about 70 billion - between the countries of the union. Growth is fixed both in monetary and in physical terms, and it goes at a faster pace between the countries of the union than outside," the Deputy Prime Minister explained.

According to Alexey Overchuk, the EAEU allows member countries to mobilize and receive all the benefits that the common market provides.

"There is an understanding that it is necessary to develop ties between economies, cooperative ties between economic entities, create single industrial chains and make our Union a self-sufficient economic association. This is important in modern conditions. The pandemic exposed selfish tendencies in countries that are rapidly closing, and then they realized that they do not have access to some elements for production and have begun to fall out of industrial chains. This is pushing countries to provide for themselves. Our union began to realize this a little earlier," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The Gaidar Forum - 2022 takes place in Moscow on January 13-14. The organizers are the Presidential Academy, the E.T. Gaidar and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia.
