Sber Asset Management has created an Optimal Global Portfolio for investors

Sber Asset Management has launched the Optimal Global Portfolio ETF, aimed at obtaining a long-term increase in foreign currency investments.

The fund is similar to the Sber Optimal Global Index. It includes stocks of the largest US companies from the S&P 500 index, as well as bonds of companies from the US and emerging markets such as China, Brazil, Indonesia and others. The fund also includes gold as a protective asset. This structure of the fund is adapted to any movement of the international stock market, because it invests in various segments of financial markets and asset classes, for which there is always a demand.

The fund's funds are invested in securities denominated in foreign currency (investments in gold are made by purchasing shares of a foreign ETF for gold), so with its help investors can protect themselves from the devaluation of the ruble.

The funds received from dividends and coupon payments on bonds are invested back into the fund. The new fund is available to non-qualified investors. At the same time, many securities from the fund are not available to such investors individually, they can only be invested with the help of the fund, or it is necessary to become a qualified investor. The minimum purchase amount is 10 rubles. You can buy a fund in the SberInvestor app or through any Russian broker.

“We see a growing demand from private investors for exchange-traded funds, so we are constantly expanding our line of exchange-traded funds, supplementing it with unusual and innovative tools. The optimal global portfolio includes securities and assets that rise in value during different phases of the stock markets. So, for example, as a rule, during a decline in prices on the stock market, gold prices rise, and vice versa. Thus, in a new fund there is always an asset that can show growth, no matter what the situation in the stock market is. This is a great option for those investors who do not plan to conduct active operations in the stock market, but at the same time would like to get a ready-made balanced and always up-to-date portfolio of securities,” said Evgeny Zaitsev, CEO of Sber Asset Management.

Managers recommend holding the fund for at least three years, because in this way the owner is exempted from paying personal income tax (PIT). There will also be a long-term ownership benefit.
