Rosneft together with Innopraktika and Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov launched an online project "Open Lectures". Lectures by leading scientists will be posted on the Battle of the Minds online platform and are available to everyone.

The project is a series of presentations by geologists, biologists, geochemists, hydrometeorologists and other scientists. It will allow listeners to expand their understanding of ecology, the formation of land, water basins and bottom landscapes. Students will also be able to learn about the role of microorganisms in human life and innovative developments in the field of environmental protection, as well as get information about the latest research in the northern seas.

As part of the lecture hall, experts will talk about the scientific projects of Rosneft, which are being implemented, among other things, jointly with Innopraktika. One of the projects is dedicated to building a reliable geological model of the Russian Arctic. During the research expeditions of the last two years, stratigraphic wells were drilled in the Kara Sea and the Laptev Sea - the first in the history of the study of the Russian continental shelf. The extracted samples of rocks that make up the sedimentary basin are now being studied in detail by specialists from the Faculty of Geology of Moscow State University.

In addition, in a series of lectures, scientists will tell the audience about the experience of creating ecological atlases of the seas of the Russian Federation, as well as the development of an effective biological product for cleaning the northern seas from hydrocarbon pollution. In 2021, this project received an award from the International Competition for Scientific Research.

"Open Lectures" will be useful for young scientists, graduate students, students, as well as anyone interested in the latest scientific developments and the latest technologies aimed at studying and preserving the environment.
