During ten years, the number of trainings for the unemployed increased by 41.6%. Last year, 45,038 of the unemployed were trained and received the work permit issued by the National Employment Office, informed on Friday the newspaper “Last Hour”.

The implementation of the control of unemployed Frenchmen's working skills since 2004 largely explains a big number of those registered for trainings. The most popular training areas include, as follows: foreign languages (Dutch and English), secretarial or computer studies, transportation and construction.
