Malta hosted the first Mare Forum Conference, an international high profile maritime event that brings together a cross-section of the industry with the aim of discussing the recent and future opportunities of the maritime industry, with particular focus on the Mediterranean.

The forum, with more than 200 participants from European, Mediterranean and African maritime, shipping and energy industries, discussed major contemporary issues currently influencing the maritime industries, the financial situation, energy offshore business and investments among other topics.
