After analyzing data of the first quarter of 2015, APITU experts (Association of information technology enterprises of Ukraine) found a significant difference between the quantity of imported and sold goods, thus directly indicating a large amount of smuggled HDD and CPU.
According to GfK, in the first quarter of 2015 more than 90 thousand HDD were sold in Ukraine, whereas about 34 thousand of them got through the customs.
The situation is similar to the one with PC processors. For example, according to APITU, only 19 % of TM Intel processors were officially imported into the country, all the rest of them has been smuggled.
