Russia - Central Bank postponed for six months a new order for credit histories

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Bank of Russia has postponed for six months the entry into force of the regulations on the introduction of a new procedure for the formation of credit histories and information for calculating the debt burden. This follows from the response of the Bank of Russia to a request from Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

"The Bank of Russia, in connection with numerous requests from sources for generating credit histories about the unavailability of information systems by January 1, 2022 and in order to avoid the risk of distorting credit histories (transmission of part of the information, incorrect information), decided to refrain from taking measures for violating a number of by-laws related to new formats of interaction with the BKI, until July 1, 2022," the response says. The decision is due solely to the demand of the market and the risk indicated above, the Central Bank added. This is also stated in the information letter published on the website of the Bank of Russia.

Earlier, Izvestia reported that experts agree that the adjustment of the new system is a large-scale undertaking. And in order to avoid problems with credit histories, it is better to spend more time now than to correct mistakes that are painful for borrowers later, the interlocutors of the publication pointed out.
