Russia - Employers were advised to transfer employees to a distance to the maximum

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Russian Tripartite Commission (RTC), which includes representatives of the authorities, employers and trade unions, called on employers to return the maximum mode of remote work, the press service of the Ministry of Labor reports. The return of the maximum possible distance is only recommended so far, that is, it is not necessary for execution. The appeal of the RTK is associated with a multiple increase in the incidence of covid.

Now 3 million Russians are working remotely. Peak values were recorded in the summer of 2020 - then, according to expert estimates, 5-6 million people worked from home.

“The experience of 2020 has shown that remote work is a normal format of activity, and for some industries, the transfer of employees to remote employment has increased labor productivity,” said Georgy Ostapkovich, director of the HSE Center for Business Research. “It’s another matter that very few people can work this way specialists The main producers of GDP and export goods - industrialists, oil, gas workers, coal miners, metallurgists, agrarians, lumberjacks - work around the clock and every day, they cannot perform their duties without being physically at work. Remote work will remain the lot of accounting, personnel officers, designers, scientists, teachers, journalists, IT specialists, whose share in the country's workforce is not too large, Ostapkovich added.

In his opinion, the economy can easily introduce remote work again, the technologies have already been worked out. If employers conscientiously follow the recommendations of the RTK, and the coronavirus does not throw new surprises, then there will be no additional restrictions.

The Ministry of Labor reminded that when an employee is transferred to remote work while maintaining their usual duties, earnings cannot be reduced.

One in five employees surveyed by the hh.ru portal said that in their companies, part of the staff was sent to work from home back in January, when the omicron wave had just begun to spread. Approximately the same proportion of those who already have a well-established hybrid employment format. Almost 60% of respondents reported that their employers did not transfer anyone to remote employment.

According to the survey results, half of the companies send home all employees with the slightest sign of SARS. One in three workers are required to wear a respirator at work, the same proportion of those who are recommended to be vaccinated. At the same time, 23% of companies do not take any measures to combat the coronavirus.

In HeadHunter itself, as in others whose activities are not related to physical production, employees now spend 80% of their working time at home, said Ksenia Stepanova, head of internal communications and corporate culture at hh.ru. To visit the office, they need to take PCR tests every week.

"The company is fully prepared for the next round of remote work, no additional resources are required," Stepanova said.
