Poll: A quarter of Russians faced wage arrears due to the pandemic

Russia (bbabo.net) - About 25% of Russians received wages with delays in the last two years. Such statistics are provided by the research center Zarplata.ru. Salary delays, according to survey participants, are associated with the pandemic and the financial and organizational difficulties that have arisen because of it.

According to the survey, the majority of those who have experienced problems with wages work in construction (15%), real estate (15%) and industry (11%). However, working personnel (10%) and representatives of the service sector (9%) experience slightly fewer problems with financial remuneration for work.

According to employees' self-assessments, the main reason for delays in payments is "employers' problems due to coronavirus restrictions." This wording was called by 49% of the respondents. 28% admitted that employers hid the reasons from them. 14% experience constant problems with salary payments. Of those who receive it late, only 9% receive their entire salary officially or "on a white basis".

True, 74% of the survey participant admitted that after the delays they were paid in full, 13% answered that they were sometimes paid not in full. 12% of respondents have not been able to receive payments so far.

According to the survey, 42% waited up to two weeks for wages, 35% - up to a month, 18% - up to three months.
