The government allocated more than 76.5 billion rubles. for additional sick leave payments for February and the first half of March. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting.
According to Mishustin, there is now a difficult situation with the incidence and the number of infected has increased dramatically.
“Accordingly, there are more people who go on sick leave. The government will additionally allocate more than 76.5 billion rubles for the payment of benefits for the February disability certificates and those that will be issued in the first half of March this year, ”the politician noted.
According to him, the allocated funds will help to maintain a balanced budget of the Social Insurance Fund, which will allow citizens to receive the funds due in a timely manner.
On February 9, 197,076 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia. During the day, 19,446 patients were hospitalized, 106,092 people recovered, 701 patients died.
In Russia, from January 1, 2022, a new procedure for issuing sick leave began to operate. So, all disability certificates have become electronic, from the hospital they will be sent to the Social Insurance Fund (FSS), and from there to the employer. In addition, a new payout calculation algorithm is now applied.
