Rosstat recorded an increase in the income of Russians in 2021

Rosstat calculated that in 2021 the real disposable income of citizens increased by 3.1% compared to 2020. It is reported by Interfax with reference to the report of the regulator.

According to the study, the largest growth was observed in the third quarter of last year - the income of Russians increased by 8.8%. The first three months of 2021 were the worst, with a 3.9% drop recorded.

The increase in the indicator at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn is explained by Rosstat primarily by lump-sum payments to pensioners and the military - 10 and 15 thousand rubles each, respectively.

The regulator also clarified the decline in income in 2020 - by 2.0% instead of 2.8%.

Earlier, Vedomosti wrote that the Ministry of Economy raised its inflation forecast in Russia for 2022 from 4% to 5.9%. It was decided to revise inflation after President Vladimir Putin ordered to clarify the parameters of the socio-economic development forecast.
