Norway cancels coronavirus tests for tourists from Russia

Norway is easing restrictions on foreign tourists and has already decided to cancel PCR tests upon arrival in the country from February 1. This was reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

Norway is updating entry protocols for the second time in the last week. So, on the evening of February 1, 2022, the government lifted most of the restrictions in Norway from 23:00 local time.

As for travel, testing at the border for all tourists is canceled, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not.

Now all that a tourist from Russia needs to visit Norway is to register in a special system three days before arrival and pass a PCR test or an antigen test 24 hours before entry. European certificate holders are not required to be tested prior to departure.

Norway has decided to lift quarantine for all Russian tourists from January 26, 2022, regardless of vaccination status. If the tourist has a European certificate of vaccination, then it was necessary to fill out a mandatory form 72 hours before arrival and pass a free test upon arrival.
