Government approves plan to support road contractors after they complain to Putin

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin approved a roadmap to change the legal regulation to support the transport construction industry on Friday, January 28. RBC writes about it.

It is reported that the document is a reaction to complaints from businesses.

Last June, 19 major contracting companies, such as SGM-Most and Stroytransgaz, complained to President Vladimir Putin about the crisis in the transport construction industry.

They indicated that contractors were fixing losses and building up debts. According to business representatives, these are “unacceptable risks” both for the national economy and for the social sphere and security of the country.

The National Association of Infrastructure Companies (NAIK) commented that the adoption of the "road map" is aimed at solving these problems of the industry.

Earlier, the government decided to support construction projects due to the rise in the cost of materials.
