According to him, flights over the country will stop from 16.00 Kyiv time.
“One of the largest British insurance companies has already sent out notices that from tomorrow, from 14.00 London time, insurance of civil aircraft that are in the airspace of Ukraine will be terminated. The owners of leased aircraft already prohibit their aircraft from flying into the airspace of Ukraine,” the deputy wrote in his Telegram channel.
Goncharenko recalled that KLM canceled its flights, “SkyUp is already landing a flight from Funchal to Chisinau”, and a ban from Air France will also appear during today.
He also advised citizens of Ukraine who are abroad and want to return home to look for an opportunity to do so as soon as possible.
Earlier, Strana.ua reported that Western insurers could close the sky over Ukraine by canceling insurance guarantees. The air blockade will affect not only foreign air carriers, but also Ukrainian ones, as well as any private aircraft.
