Russia - Gazprom did not book additional transit through Ukraine for March

Russia (bbabo.net), - Gazprom did not book additional gas transmission capacities for gas transit through Ukraine, and also decided not to choose again the capacity of the Yamal-Europe pipe, which passes through Poland. This follows from the results of the sessions on the RBP and GSA platforms.

Thus, the GTS Operator of Ukraine offered 9.8 million cubic meters of gas per day for deliveries in March through the Sudzha station, as well as 5.2 million cubic meters per day through the Sokhranivka station, but they remained unclaimed. At the same time, on long-term booking conditions, Gazprom will have to pump 40 billion cubic meters throughout 2022. On average, this is about 109 million cubic meters of gas per day. In the first two weeks of February, the average value was at the level of 77 million cubic meters, Interfax writes.

On the Polish section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline, 89 million cubic meters of gas per day were offered for booking for pumping, however, they remained unclaimed. As a rule, a Russian company, if there are applications, buys capacities at daily rather than monthly auctions, despite the fact that there is no long-term contract for pumping through Poland. Thus, while the pipe continues to work in the reverse direction, that is, gas is pumped not towards Germany, but vice versa, towards Poland. The pipe has been operating in this mode since December 21 last year.
