The benefit of the American economy from the crisis in Ukraine became known

Exports of liquefied natural gas from the United States to Europe jumped significantly amid the escalation of the crisis in Ukraine, according to the American edition of The Wall Street Journal.

The material noted that the growth of oil and gas production in the United States is a geopolitical and economic asset of the country. These resources make it possible to oust Russian competitors from the European market, the WSJ noted.

“As the oil and gas industry continues to recover from the collapse in spring 2020 prices triggered by the onset of the pandemic, the US is once again the world’s largest oil producer — nearly 20% above its two competitors, Saudi Arabia and Russia — and the world’s largest natural gas producer,” emphasized in .

The WSJ is also confident that the unfolding crisis in Ukraine led to the success of the American oil industry.

“Today, there is no doubt about the geopolitical importance of America’s new oil and gas position,” the Wall Street Journal added.

Earlier, the United States offered Ukraine credit guarantees in the amount of up to a billion dollars.
