Following car producers, based in Petersburg, foreign producers of interior components and spare car parts wind down. Ford reduces production, while Johnson Controls, producer of car seats and other components, having come to Russia for the sake of Ford, is closing its plant in Shushary district in late September.
The company leaves Petersburg only, meanwhile its Podmoskovye plant is to keep working.
In 2014, the plant reduced production to 30,000 cars, compared to 70,000 cars produced in 2013.
Recent news from car producers market go from bad to worse. Those, not having left the market yet, are planning to suspend operation of their plants for a while in July-August.
