In the United States again delayed the default for a month

The United States Senate has supported the extension of government funding until March 11, 2022, C-SPAN reports.

Among those who voted, 65 senators were in favor of extending the funding, 27 were against. At the same time, the senators also rejected a number of amendments to the bill - if they were included in the final version of the bill, then the US government would have to make significant cuts in public spending - primarily on the budget to combat coronavirus.

Now, according to the norms of the legislation, the bill must be approved in the Senate, and then be signed by the President of the United States, Joe Biden.

Prior to this, in December 2021, the United States Congress supported a project to extend government funding.

In the United States, since the fall of 2021, negotiations have been ongoing between the Treasury and political parties on the possibility of extending funding or expanding the ceiling on public debt to prevent default.
