The European Commission revealed the details of the upcoming sanctions against Russia

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the sanctions against Russia, which Western countries plan to impose in the event of its "invasion" of Ukraine, will affect the energy sector and high technology. She said this at a security conference in Munich, TASS reports.

“We have already agreed on tough sanctions against Russia, which will include restrictions on the energy sector and high technology,” said von der Leyen.

She also said that the conflict in Ukraine "was created by Russia."

Earlier, the head of the faction of the Social Democratic Party of Germany in the Bundestag, Rolf Mützenich, said that anti-Russian sanctions would affect the entire global economy and the international system in the long term.

In turn, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said that London agreed with partners in the G7 (G7) and the European Union sanctions against Russia.

Since the fall of last year, the Western media, as well as in Ukraine, have been claiming that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale invasion” of Ukraine. In Moscow, such allegations have been repeatedly rejected.
