The Infrastructure Ministry plans to give private carriers access to railway objects of Ukraine, entitle them as operators of infrastructure and give them an opportunity to deal with passenger transportations.
This has been reported by Andriy Pyvovarskiy, Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine.
“EU directives envisage the access of private transport operators to the railway. The issue has been discussed at the level of the Ministry and Ukrzaliznytsya Company in Ukraine,” Yevhen Kravtsov, head of the Ukrzaliznytsya department of reforms and corporate development, pointed out.
