IHerb stopped sending orders to Russia

The American online store selling dietary supplements iHerb stopped accepting orders from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova due to “logistical problems”. This was reported on the store's website.

The store said in a message that if the order has not yet been shipped, then the company will "do everything in its power to process it", otherwise it will be canceled, and all pending transactions will be canceled. “You will not be charged for it,” iHerb writes.

The message does not say about the timing of the return to accept orders.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Russia declared legal the decision made a year earlier to block the iHerb mobile application. At the same time, iHerb lawyers consistently tried to challenge the ban in courts of various instances, including referring to the fact that the service’s activities should not be regulated by Russian law, but exclusively by international trade rules.

Observers believe that the adopted decision may become a certain vector for the relevant departments in organizing the regulation of the remote circulation of dietary supplements, since by its decision the Supreme Court actually pointed out the impossibility of circulation in Russia of dietary supplements that do not have state registration, and even more so containing dangerous and prohibited components.
