Putin signed the law on the indexation of military pensions

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on the indexation of pensions by 8.6% for military pensioners. The corresponding document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The text of the document states that from January 1 to October 1, 2022, a monthly supplement to pensions in the amount of 8.6% of the current allowance for people who have served in the military is established.

The allowance will go not only to the former military, but also to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other law enforcement agencies.

This law was adopted by the State Duma on February 16 and approved by the Federation Council on February 22. It is noted that the document comes into force from the moment of its signing.

Earlier, Andrey Girinsky, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Economics at RUDN University, spoke about changes in the calculation of salaries for workers of retirement age in 2022.
