Titov asked the Central Bank not to worsen the conditions for lending to businesses

The Central Bank should establish temporary restrictions for banks on the deterioration of lending conditions for small and medium-sized businesses, said Boris Titov, authorized under the President of the Russian Federation for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs. His words were reported to TASS in the press service of the Ombudsman.

“The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has already allowed commercial banks not to worsen the conditions for lending to corporate borrowers, despite the reserve requirements, but this is not enough. We need a direct ban on such deterioration, ”Titov’s words were conveyed in the press service.

The Ombudsman expects that small and medium-sized businesses will not be left aside from the program of economic counteraction to new serious challenges.

According to Titov, Russian entrepreneurs should remain calm and not panic. The main thing now is to save your business and jobs. Although it will be difficult, it is necessary to keep the prices of products as much as possible.

Earlier, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia decided to raise the key rate from February 28, 2022 to 20% per annum. Later, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the decision of the Central Bank, saying that so far there was no reason to doubt the efficiency and reliability of the regulator. Therefore, even now there is no reason to doubt the effectiveness of the decision to raise the rate.
