Demand for new buildings has grown in Moscow and St. Petersburg

In Moscow and St. Petersburg, analysts have revealed a record growth in demand for apartments in new buildings. It is reported by Rossiyskaya with reference to CIAN.

According to experts, a record demand for housing was observed on March 1 and it increased by 50%.

According to CIAN, real estate prices increased by 1.5% last week in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Analysts talked about two factors that affected the prices of new buildings.

The experts explained that after the increase in the Central Bank rate, banks adjusted mortgage rates, they increased by several points at once. People have become eager to quickly reach a deal on previously approved applications.

People with cash on hand also tend to invest it profitably as soon as possible, specialists of the real estate search service drew attention.

Earlier, Sberbank named the leading regions in terms of issuing preferential mortgages for the year. The greatest demand for the State Support 2020 program was recorded in Moscow and the region.
