World Economic Forum in Davos canceled due to omicron

The World Economic Forum (WEF), which was scheduled for January 17-21 in Davos, will not take place due to uncertainty in the situation with a new variety of coronavirus, the forum headquarters said in a statement.

“The World Economic Forum will postpone its annual meeting in Davos in the light of uncertainty over the omicron option,” the report said.

It is indicated that the next date of the forum is scheduled for early summer 2022.

In September, organizers of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos announced that the 2022 annual meeting, which will take place live from 17 to 21 January, will be the first global leadership event to set an agenda for sustainable recovery.

In 2021, the annual meeting of the WEF, which was scheduled for August 17-20 in Singapore, was also canceled due to the situation with the coronavirus.
