Aeroflot Group hopes to achieve operating payback in 2022, although there are few external prerequisites for achieving good financial results. This was stated by the general director of the group Mikhail Poluboyarinov.

“This year we, most likely, like the last one, will end without profit, but with a significantly better result. Our task in 2022 is to implement all the necessary measures for the earliest possible achievement of operational payback, at least "zero plus", but unfortunately, there are not many external prerequisites for achieving good financial results, "Poluboyarinova TASS said.

At the same time, the head of the Aeroflot group noted that the company does not plan to issue additional shares and hopes to do without direct government funding.

“We are not planning an additional issue of shares. I hope we don’t need government funding. But again, the instability of the market situation and the rise in the cost of fuel can lead to very different consequences. Today we have enough opportunities to hedge against adverse situations. So, we plan to attract a state guarantee for the next year, but this is a safety measure, ”added the general director of the group.

According to Poluboyarinov, one of the key tasks of the group for 2022 will be "the implementation of a complex of anti-crisis management, taking into account the indispensable preservation of punctuality, a high level of service, as well as a highly qualified workforce."
