Self-employed may be allowed to register for tax registration at the State Services

The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted to the State Duma a bill that allows self-employed to register for tax records through the portal of public services. The document is posted on the website of the lower house of parliament.

We are talking about citizens of Russia and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

"An additional opportunity to interact with the operator of a single portal will allow taxpayers to" expand "the promptness of submitting an application to the tax authority for registration and (or) deregistration as a NPD payer", - follows from the document.

Since 2019, in four regions of Russia - in Moscow, the Moscow region, Tatarstan and the Kaluga region - as part of the experiment, a special tax regime has been introduced for self-employed citizens - the tax on professional income (NPA). This is a special tax regime, those who switch to it can only pay tax on income from independent activities at a preferential rate of 4 or 6%.

Self-employed and individual entrepreneurs have the right to pay tax on professional income, whose annual income does not exceed the limit of 2.4 million rubles.

Earlier it became known that half of Russian schoolchildren want to become businessmen. Only 3% of schoolchildren do not plan to work at all.
