Rosneft completed sea trials of the tanker and built a dry dock

Rosneft has successfully completed sea trials of the Aframax tanker, the Vladimir Vinogradov vessel, which was built at the Zvezda shipyard by order of Rosnefteflot.

The tanker was launched on August 25, 2021. The vessel successfully passed mooring tests, during which the systems and equipment were checked and adjusted, the main engine was launched, its operability and readiness to go to sea were checked.

Further, "Vladimir Vinogradov" was moored from the outfitting embankment, taken out of the shipyard water area and under its own power went to the test area, during which the ship's speed characteristics and its controllability were checked in all operating modes.

The crew of the vessel, together with specialists from the Zvezda shipbuilding complex, checked the operation of the propulsion system of the main and auxiliary engines, as well as the life support systems and the navigation complex of the tanker.

Ships of the "Aframax" type are intended for the transportation of crude oil and oil products in an unlimited navigation area. The length of the tanker is 250 meters, the width is 44 meters, the deadweight is 114 thousand tons, the speed is 14.6 knots, the ice class is ICE-1A. The ship has a helicopter platform.

Also, the construction of one of the world's largest dry docks has been completed at SSK Zvezda. A unique hydraulic structure measuring 485 by 114 meters and a depth of 14 meters provides unlimited opportunities for the construction of ships of any size and complexity. The dry dock was commissioned 3 years earlier than the originally designated date.

Experts, together with representatives of Rostekhnadzor and State Expertise, inspected the dry dock and facility equipment to ensure that all mechanisms were ready for operation.
