Russia (bbabo.net) - The final of the WorldSkills Russia national championship will be held in Khabarovsk at the international airport, Governor Mikhail Degtyarev said after meeting with the head of the Agency for the Development of Professional Skills, Robert Urazov.
"We signed an agreement on cooperation in holding the final of the XI National Championship" Young Professionals "(WorldSkills Russia) in 2023. We proposed to hold the final of the championship from June 1 to 5 and organize competitions in 80 competencies on the territory of the Novyi Nevelskoy airport," wrote Mikhail Degtyarev on his Telegram channel.
According to the governor, the region has been in this movement since 2012, and Khabarovsk technical schools are in the top 100 of the WorldSkills Russia rating.
"We want to orient young people to work in our region, in modern production, to show them new competencies and give them a chance to make a career in large projects in the fields of energy, transport, mining, hospitality. Our employers, the largest business are interested in this and act as partners ", - said Mikhail Degtyarev.
Recall that the international non-profit movement WorldSkills was created in 1946. Russia joined him in 2012.
