The Ukrainians were promised a calm heating season

The heating season in Ukraine will pass calmly if there are no stressful situations. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the country Denis Shmygal, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“If there are no stressful events in weather conditions, hybrid attacks from our northern neighbor, we will pass the heating season calmly, as we do every year,” the politician said.

Shmyhal recalled the energy crisis in Europe, the lack of coal on the world markets, but at the same time, Ukraine began the heating season on time, and it is going on as usual.

As for the coal reserves in the country, according to Shmygal, ten ships have been contracted to date, and the level of its own production has been increased by 28%.

“For today, there are no risks of disruption of the heating season, all other things being equal, we are going through calmly, people should not worry,” summed up the head of the Ukrainian government.

Earlier, Gazprom said that the level of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities has dropped significantly, approaching the level before the start of injection.

Since 2015, Ukraine has been receiving gas from Russian suppliers through a virtual reverse, that is, selection from those transit volumes intended for European countries. This method, according to the Ukrainian authorities, does not seriously harm the country's sovereignty, in contrast to direct deliveries, which are cheaper than the mentioned method of obtaining fuel.
