Russia (bbabo.net) - Next year, the resort tax will increase at the resorts of the Kuban. This was announced on Wednesday by the acting minister of resorts, tourism and the Olympic heritage of the region, Maria Zolotukhina, at a session of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory.
In 2022, the resort fee in Sochi will be 50 rubles per day, and in the rest of the territories included in the experimental zone - 30 rubles.
According to Maria Zolotukhina, the increase in the collection is due to the need to increase revenues to the regional budget. The funds will be used to finance design, construction, reconstruction, maintenance, improvement and repair of resort infrastructure facilities in the region.
“We are doing everything to make the rest in the region better, better quality, more comfortable,” said the Governor of the Kuban Veniamin Kondratyev. “But it takes money. We use these funds (resort tax) to create quality recreation conditions for everyone who comes to us.
As the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory, Yuri Burlachko, said, the collection was conceived as a mechanism for updating the resort sector. The collected funds were used to improve the settlements of resort areas, and today each of them has beautiful pedestrian routes, art objects, recreation areas. This has become a great help for the municipalities of the region.
- The initiative is expected, - he noted. - We need to develop territories. Indeed, significant sums are spent on preparations for the holiday season. The value will continue to be democratic and accessible to anyone. But taking into account the annually growing tourist flow, this will result in amounts that are quite sufficient to significantly transform the appearance of our resorts, make them more attractive and increase competitiveness in the world and Russian markets of travel services.
Previously, the resort tax was 10 rubles. Last year, due to the pandemic, it had to be canceled. And in this they have already begun to talk about increasing the amount. By the way, in 2019, only half of Sochi tourists paid the resort fee.
Recall that in the Krasnodar Territory, the resort fee began to be collected on July 16, 2018 in Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Goryachy Klyuch and four settlements of the Tuapse region (Novomikhailovka, Nebug, Dzhubga and Shepsi). Minors, students, pensioners, veterans, disabled people, as well as local residents are exempted from it.
