The head of Naftogaz Ukrainy, Yuriy Vitrenko, said that the country will do everything to ensure that Gazprom's European partners are constantly threatened with US sanctions over Nord Stream 2. The video was published on the company's YouTube channel.

According to him, the United States has not yet imposed sanctions on the gas pipeline, because its construction resumed at the same time as the inauguration of US President Joe Biden.

According to Vitrenko, Nord Stream 2 was not commissioned due to Ukraine's cooperation with foreign partners.

“We are constantly working on the possibility of imposing sanctions on Nord Stream 2. So that this threat constantly hangs over this project, ”he said.

Earlier in "Naftogaz" reported that now the largest gas fields in Ukraine are devastated by 80%. The company said that they are working to increase their own production of "blue fuel", for this they use new technologies and management approaches, study and develop promising subsoil areas.

On December 22, Naftogaz Ukrainy complained to the European Commission about the Russian Gazprom.
