By 2018, the amount of the Russian reserve fund's assets will make up 500 billion rubles. This was stated by the finance Minister Anton Siluanov, TASS reported. At present, the fund possesses 4.3 trillion rubles. Therefore, its size to undergo nearly a ninefold decrease in the next three years.

The official said that the budget deficit will be patched by the Reserve Fund in 2015-2017. This year Russia is going to spend 2.5-3 trillion rubles. In the next two years this amount would embrace one more trillion.

Siluanov also noted that if oil prices remain at the level of $ 70 per barrel, the augmentation of the reserve fund would be secured, reports Interfax. Spending the entire amount of the fund assets in the next three years would be a fallacious move, stressed Anton Siluanov.
